We have given you tips to approaching an interview before but we thought now that it is a weekend, let us recap all the tips in one article on ways of preparing for an interview. If you are invited for an interview, please give it the following general approach:

1. Keep your answers brief and concise - Unless asked to give more detail, limit your answers to two to three minutes per question. Record yourself and see how long it takes you to fully answer a question.

2. Include concrete, quantifiable data - Interviewees tend to talk in generalities. Unfortunately, generalities often fail to convince interviewers that the applicant has assets. Include measurable information and provide details about specific accomplishments when discussing your strengths.

All job interviews have the same objective, but employers reach that objective in a variety of ways. You might enter the room expecting to tell stories about your professional successes and instead find yourself selling the interviewer a pen or the suit you are wearing. One strategy for performing your best during an interview is to know the rules of the particular game you are playing when you walk through the door. We have tackled this topic separately before but today we want to consolidate all the various types of interviews and advise you on how best to deal with them in the second part of this series. Today we will deal with the types of interviews but please check in tomorrow for the second part that will give you the tips and suggestions on how well to go around each of them. Well, here they are:
1.    The Screening Interview - Companies use screening tools to ensure that candidates meet minimum qualification requirements. Computer programs are among the tools used to weed out unqualified candidates. (This is why you need a digital resume that is screening-friendly. Send your resume or CV to us for help.) Sometimes human professionals are the gatekeepers. Screening interviewers often have honed skills to determine whether there is anything that might disqualify you for the position. Remember-they do not need to know whether you are the best fit for the position, only whether you are not a match. For this reason, screeners tend to dig for dirt. Screeners will hone in on gaps in your employment history or pieces of information that look inconsistent. They also will want to know from the outset whether you will be too expensive for the company.

Reporting to the programme coordinator Dadaab, and responsible for implementation of DRC water and hygiene program activities in the local communities, the WASH officer will among other tasks be responsible for conducting water, sanitation and hygiene needs assessments and designing appropriate interventions to enhance access to safe drinking waters and sustainable improvement in hygiene.
